दुनियाभर में हर 10 दिसंबर को वर्ल्ड ह्यूमन राइट्स डे मनाया जाता है। 1950 में यूनाइटेड नेशन जनरल एसेंबली में ऐलान के साथ इस दिन की शुरुआत हुई थी। 1948 में 10 दिसंबर को ही यूएन ने मानवाधिकारों पर एक घोषणा जारी किया था, जो आम इंसान के अधिकारों के बारे में बताता है। मानवाधिकार से मतलब समानता, स्वतंत्रता और शिक्षा जैसे उन मौलिक अधिकारों से है जिनके हकदार दुनिया के सभी इंसान हैं।
